Sie ist auf der Jagd nach Vampiren
Die CIA hat in nahezu jedem Film und jedem Buch hochkarätige Agenten in ihren Reihen. Nicht umsonst handelt es sich beim Geheimdienst um eines der am meist verwendeten Mysterien der Hollywoodgeschichte. Sie kämpfen gegen potenzielle Staatsfeinde und andere Geheimdienste der Welt, unter anderem den ehemals sowjetischen KGB. Ihre Taten bleiben im Verborgenen, sterben sie im Einsatz ist all das, was an sie erinnert ein Stern auf einer Wand. Sie haben keinen Namen, keine Identität und geschätzte 32 verschiedene Pässe. Eine Agentin der ganz besonderen Art stellt in „Man lebt nur ewig“ alles in den Schatten, was wir bisher von Primus James Bond gesehen und gelernt haben.
Jaz Parks ist Vampirjägerin, wohlgemerkt steht sie im Dienst der CIA, für die sie schon so manchen Feind zur Strecke gebracht hat. Die Hauptprotagonistin, die aus der Feder von Autorin Jennifer Rardins entstanden ist, scheint so mysteriös wie Dracula und so abgezockt wie 007 höchstpersönlich. Sie ist kompromisslos und clever, verdammt abgebrüht und weiß in jeder Situation genau, was zu tun ist. Ihre Opfer sind Vampire, die sich in allen Bereichen der Gesellschaft tummeln. Sie verstecken sich in den Führungspositionen großer Konzerne, tarnen sich als Ärzte und Politiker. Ihre Mission liegt darin, ein düstere Reich der Vampire zu errichten, die von Jaz heißt, es zu verhindern. Um das zu schaffen, muss sie denken wie ein Vampir und bereit sein, auch so zu handeln.
