Gefährliche Verführung
Das Leben kann so schön sein, wenn man frisch verliebt ist. Da empfindet man Dinge, die einem über einen gewissen Zeitraum fremd waren und die sich nach so langer Abstinenz so verdammt gut anfühlen. Es sind die Phasen, in denen wir nicht selten zu überstürzten Handlungen neigen und Sachen tun, die weitreichende Folgen für uns und unsere Mitmenschen haben. Lana macht einen entscheidenden Fehler, der ihr Leben abrupt umkrempeln soll. Sie ist verliebt in einen geheimnisvollen Antiquitätenhändler, dem sie nach Hongkong nachreist, um ihm nahe zu sein. Doch dort angekommen, ist nicht er es, der sie empfängt, sondern FBI-Agent Mark Forrester. Ihr Freund ist spurlos verschwunden, Forrester alles andere als freundlich.
Mit teilweise brutalen Verhöraktionen versucht er aus Lana Informationen heraus zu kitzeln, die sie nicht hat. Sie erfährt über ihren Freund, dass er sich in sehr gefährlichen Kreisen aufhält und Beziehungen zu Leuten aus der gewalttätigen Untergrundszene der Stadt hat. Forrester lässt nicht locker und verschleppt sie in ein Bordell, wo er sie mit erotischen Spielen unter Druck zu setzen versucht. Der Grund ist mir ein wenig fremd, aber Lana fügt sich ihrem Peiniger und verfällt seinen Verführungskünsten. Die weitere Ermittlung in Lena Morells „In der Gewalt des Jadedrachen“ führt beide in noch tiefere Abgründe und zu der Erkenntnis, dass ein skrupelloser Mann die Fäden der Unterwelt in seinen Händen hält und beide in seine Gewalt zu bringen versucht.
