Die New Yorker Grafikerin Julia steckt mitten in ihren letzten Hochzeitsvorbereitungen, als sie die Nachricht erhält, dass ihr Vater an ihrem grossen Tag nicht dabei sein kann. Das ist nichts ungewöhnliches, ihr Vater hat an Julias Leben nie wirklich teilgenommen, doch diesmal ist es ein anderer Grund: er ist gestorben und die Beerdigung soll am gleichen Tag wie ihre Hochzeit stattfinden. Julia sagt diese ab, um an der Beerdigung teilzunehmen. Als sie wieder nach Hause kommt, wartet im Wohnzimmer eine Überraschung auf sie: eine riesige Holzkiste, die eine lebensgrosse Kopie ihres Vaters in Form eines Roboters enthält – von ihm selbst entwickelt und mit all seinen Gedanken auf einer Festplatte gespeichert. Julia ist erstmal entsetzt, wütend und beginnt dann doch mit ihrem Vater zu “sprechen” und so die Vergangenheit aufzuarbeiten. Dazu gehört auch eine aufregende Reise nach Berlin, wo sie vor vielen Jahren wegen ihres Vaters ihre grosse Liebe verlor.
Marc Levy hat mit seinem Roman All die ungesagten Worte eine wunderschöne, magische Geschichte geschrieben. Obwohl der Verlauf schnell klar wird, ist das Werk doch spannend und nimmt einen mit auf eine abenteuerliche Reise. All die Frauen, die Marc Levy als Autor sowieso schon begeistert, werden auch diesen Roman lieben.
All die ungesagten Worte ist erhältlich als eBook bei Knaur (16,95 Euro). Als Hörbuch ist der Titel ebenfalls auf den bekannten Plattformen erhältlich.
