Deutscher Buchpreis 2009 für Kathrin Schmidt

Der deutschen Autorin Kathrin Schmidt wurde am Vorabend der Buchmesse in Frankfurt der Deutsche Buchpreis verliehen. Die Jury hat Schmidt für ihren Roman Du stirbst nicht ausgezeichnet. Die 51-jährige Berlinerin (geb. in Gotha) konnte sich in der Schlussrunde gegen 5 weitere Autoren, darunter auch die diesjährige Literaturnobelpreisträgerin Herta Müller, durchsetzen.
Ihr Roman Du stirbst nicht erzählt die Geschichte einer Frau, die nach einer Hirnblutung im Krankenhaus aus der Bewusstlosigkeit erwacht. Langsam erobert sie sich die Welt zurück. Die Geschichte beruht auf eigenen Erfahrungen der Autorin Kathrin Schmidt, die selbst bereits eine Hirnblutung erlitten hat. Deshalb gelingt es ihr wohl, das Innenleben der Kranken sowie die Geschichte der betroffenen Familie besonders intensiv und wortgewaltig zu schildern.
Der Titel ist erschienen bei Kiepenheuer & Witsch im Februar 2009. Als eBook ist der Roman leider noch nicht erhältlich, wir informieren euch sobald es soweit ist.
