Der deutsche Schriftsteller Peter Prange studierte Romanistik, Germanistik und Philosophie in Göttingen, Perugia, Paris und Tübingen. Promoviert hat er mit einer Arbeit zur Sittengeschichte der Aufklärung. Zur Zeit lebt er als freier Schriftsteller mit seiner Frau und seiner Tochter in Tübingen.
Neben zahlreichen Romanen zählen auch Sach- und Drehbücher zu seinen Werken. Den Durchbruch erzielte Peter Prange im Jahr 1999 mit der deutschen Familiengeschichte Das Bernstein-Amulett (bei Droemer Knaur, das Buch wurde 2004 verfilmt). Seitdem landete er mehrfach mit historischen Romanen in den Bestsellerlisten, z.B. mit Die Rebellin, Die Philosophin, Der letzte Harem oder ganz aktuell Die Gottessucherin (alle erschienen bei Droemer Knaur).
Den Roman Die Philosophin haben wir in diesem Blog bereits vorgestellt, z.T. sind Pranges Werke inzwischen als eBook erhältlich.
