Die Romanautorin Kate Jacobs wurde in der Nähe von Vancouver in Kanada geboren. Sie studierte Journalismus an der Carleton University in Ottawa und machte im Anschluss ihren Master an der New York University. Jacobs war nach ihrem Studium als Redakteurin für verschiedene Zeitschriften in New York tätig (”Working Woman” und “Family Life”).
Ihr Debütroman um den Friday Night Knitting Club “Die Maschen der Frauen” stieg bei Erscheinen sofort auf die internationalen Bestsellerlisten ein. Es folgte weitere Frauenromane, drei davon sind in Deutschland bei Heyne erschienen. Ihr neuestes Werk “Wenn Frauen kochen” haben wir hier bereits vorgestellt.
Heute lebt Jacobs mit ihrem Mann in Los Angeles, Kalifornien.
