Die deutsche Buchautorin Anke Greifeneder wurde im Jahr 1972 in Schwenningen (Schwarzwald) geboren und entschied sich nach dem Abitur zu einem Jurastudium in Konstanz wo sie – nach eigenen Angaben – weder Gerechtigkeit noch einen Ehemann fand. Also beschloss sie, dem Studium den Rücken zuzukehren und ihr Glück in der Medienwelt zu versuchen. Nach einigen Stationen in der Printbranche (u.a. Südwestpresse) begann sie bei MTV in München. Dort leitete sie u.a. die Programmplanung für London und den Einkauf sowie Showentwicklung in Berlin. Am Aufbau von Comedy Central war sie ebenfalls beteiligt. Seit 2007 ist sie bei Turner Broadcasting System in München als Programmdirektorin tätig (für die Sender Cartoon Network, Boomerang und Turner Classic Movies).
Bisher hat Anke Greifeneder vier Romane geschrieben: Flaschendrehen (2006), Flurfunk (2005), Klatschmohn (2004) und das neueste Werk Fremd flirten (2009, alle bei Lübbe). Bei allen vieren handelt es sich um Liebesromane, in denen Frauen die Hauptrolle und die bevorzugt in der Medien-Glitzer-Welt spielen, sind herrlich amüsant und spritzig geschrieben und eignen sich bestens zum Schmökern.
